2. Collection and Storage of Personal Data as well as the Type and Purpose of its Use

a) When visiting the website
When you access our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to our website’s server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:
    • IP address of the requesting computer,
    • Date and time of access,
    • Name and URL of the retrieved file,
    • Website from which access was made (referrer URL),
    • The browser used and, if applicable, your computer’s operating system, as well as the name of your access provider. 

The aforementioned data will be processed by us for the following purposes:
    • Ensuring a smooth connection setup of the website,
    • Ensuring convenient use of our website,
    • Evaluating system security and stability, and
    • For further administrative purposes.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes for data collection listed above.
 
b) When using our enquiry form (“Holiday Enquiry”)

For questions of any kind or to send non-binding holiday enquiries, we offer you the opportunity to contact us using a form provided on the website. A valid email address and your name are required so that we know who sent the enquiry and can answer it. Further details (e.g., phone number, travel period, number of persons) can be provided voluntarily. 

Data processing for the purpose of contacting us or processing the holiday enquiry is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR to perform pre-contractual measures. The personal data collected by us for the use of the form will be automatically deleted after your enquiry has been dealt with, unless a booking is concluded (in this case, statutory retention periods for accommodation businesses in Italy apply). 

 

3. Disclosure of Data

Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We only share your personal data with third parties if: 
  • You have given your explicit consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR),
  • The disclosure is necessary for the processing of contractual relationships with you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, e.g., to the booking system or local tourism databases for the legally required reporting obligation in Italy),
  • There is a legal obligation for disclosure (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).

  • To receive your personal data, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format or to request transmission to another controller (data portability, Art. 20 GDPR); 
  • To revoke your once given consent at any time (Art. 7 (3) GDPR);
  • To lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority in Italy is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Roma).
